At all Middle Schools exceptions to the following requirements may be made by the principal. Private study credits are not available in grades 7-8. Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 requires all course offerings to be open to boys and girls with some exceptions: A. Portions of classes which deal exclusively with human sexuality may be conducted in separate sessions for boys and girls. B. Choir classes may be based on vocal range or quality.

Reading may replace an elective at some sites, depending on the student’s reading level.

Not all elective courses are offered at all sites. Please check with your school counselor.
