Kindergarten Teacher

I’ve been a proud member of the Chapman Hills team since 1997.  I joined the Kindergarten staff as a teacher’s aide, began my career as a Kindergarten teacher in 2000, and have been fortunate enough to work at this grade level since that time.  I believe Kindergarten should be a magical introduction to our wonderful school.  I thoroughly enjoy working with the enthusiastic, impressionable young minds of the precious children in my classroom.  It’s of the utmost importance to me that the kids feel loved, respected, and safe in my classroom.  I want to help nurture them and build their self-confidence in addition to providing them with a strong academic foundation.

I grew up in Placentia and have lived in Orange County all of my life.  I currently reside in Huntington Beach.  I attended California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English.  I also hold a Multiple Subject teaching credential, which I earned at California State University, Fullerton. 

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, including my four beautiful nieces and nephew.  My favorite activities include reading, listening to music, practicing yoga, and spending time in nature (whether hiking, walking, or simply by relaxing on the beach).  My great passions, however, are traveling and cooking, of which I take advantage as often as possible (Europe is my favorite destination, but I have a special place in my heart for the entire California coast, Paso Robles, and New Orleans).  

I consider myself very fortunate to have been granted the opportunity to work at our fabulous school with so many special students, involved parents and dedicated colleagues.  I value the relationships I’ve built over my years at Chapman Hills, and look forward to those yet to come.
