Teacher

photoI am pleased to say that the 2011/2012 school year marks my twentieth anniversary as a Chapman Hills Elementary teacher. During this time, I have been a part of a school family that has grown and changed. Through the years, I have had the privilege to be involved in so many families’ lives, serving as a teacher to many siblings. Families have come and gone and will always hold a special place in my heart. Chapman Hills is my home away from home.

photoWhen I am not with my Chapman Hills family, I am with my beautiful daughter, Emily and my loving husband, Chris. Emily is a junior this year at El Toro High School. It is true what they say the four years of high school are going too fast. I recently became an upper grade teacher after so many years in the primary grades. Learning a new grade level curriculum has kept my mind busy and off the thought that in less than photo2 years, I will have an empty nest.

I grew up in southern California and went to college locally at CSU Long Beach. I knew I wanted to be a teacher since my first day in Kindergarten. I hold a California Multiple Subjects K-12 Teaching Credential, a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies, and a Master’s degree in Educational Curriculum. I have taught K-2 and now 5th. There is no other career I’d rather be doing. Thank you for letting me be a part of your children’s lives.
