Principal's Message

Welcome to Prospect Elementary School’s Home Page.  Prospect is one of 29 elementary schools in the Orange Unified School District. Our school is located on Virage Street, just off of Spring Street across from El Modena High School.

Prospect’s teachers and support staff are dedicated to preparing our students for success by providing a quality education for all children. We offer many opportunities for a child to increase their academic performance through our positive school environment, high expectations, enrichment opportunities, intervention support and our highly trained teaching staff.

Prospect Elementary’s current enrollment is approximately at 425 students in Kindergarten through 6th grade classes, in addition to two Special Day Classes. Our teaching staff also includes: a Resource Specialist Program teacher, Speech and Language Therapist, Reading Resource Teacher, and three Instructional Coaches to support instruction in English Language Arts, Mathematics and English Language Development.

In the Spring of 2005, Prospect had the honor of being the first school to undergo modernization. Classrooms were outfitted with teaching walls (movable white boards), computer work stations, cabinetry which includes storage for files, textbooks, instructional materials and classroom libraries.  New ceilings, air conditioning units, light fixtures and floors were also part of the make over of our school. Our school also utilized categorical program funding to provide a LCD projector and document camera for teaching as well as the purchase of multiple SMART boards available for classroom use. In addition, the students have access to a state of the art computer lab they can access weekly.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school at (714)  997-6271.
