 Kerrie Torres, Appointed Assistant Superintendent, Educational Services, Brea Olinda School District

ORANGE, CA — July 26, 2017 — Orange Unified would like to congratulate Kerrie Torres, Executive Director of Secondary Education, on her appointment as Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services in Brea Olinda School District. The appointment was announced July 24 at the Brea Olinda Board of Education meeting and Kerrie Torres will assume her new position on August 7.

Ms. Torres has been a member of the OUSD leadership since 2010, serving as a principal at Yorba Middle School prior to accepting her most current position of Executive Director of Secondary Education in Orange Unified.  She has been a tremendous asset to the District’s Educational Services Division, providing leadership and planning expertise in the development of District wide SAT testing for all (College Board Day), Dual Enrollment programs with Santiago Canyon College, and instructional intervention programs. 

“Kerrie has been an invaluable member of the Educational Services Team in Orange.  Her promotion to Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services in Brea Olinda is well deserved. Kerrie will be greatly missed for her focus on student instructional needs and dedication to developing innovative partnerships to support schools,” commented Deputy Superintendent Gunn Marie Hansen, Ph.D.

The Orange Unified School District community wishes Kerrie Torres much success in her new role as Assistant Superintendent in Brea Olinda and her future endeavors as an accomplished educational leader.
