 Five OUSD Educators Selected for Discovery Education DEN Summer Institute

Orange, CA – June 12, 2017 – Orange Unified is proud to announce that several of our educators will be representing the District next month at Discovery Education’s 2017 DEN Summer Institute in San Diego, California.

Imperial Elementary Principal Gigi Kelley, Lampson Elementary Principal David Shun, Anaheim Hills Elementary Principal Fayrose Mostafa, West Orange Elementary Teacher Dana Johnston, and Anaheim Elementary Teacher Chris Rotsios were each selected through a competitive process which included written and videotaped application submissions. They will learn to use technology to energize instruction from keynote speakers, the Discovery Education team, and each other at the week-long professional development and networking event.

Founded in 2005, the Discovery Education Community is an active and growing group of education professionals who are passionate about transforming the learning experience and sharing best practices for using digital media.
